The GHD MK4 Professional Advanced Ceramic Heat-Styler, 1″ uses ceramic technology and its body shape and curved barrel for styling. A rounder barrel creates wave, curls, flicks and straightens hair too.
It knows how much infrared heat to use by sensing the porosity of hair. The ceramic plates emit negative ions to seal the cuticle and provide hair sheen while reducing static. If the GHD isn’t being used, it will shut off automatically after 30 minutes. The universal voltage of 110v to 230v makes it suitable for worldwide travel use. An instructional dvd is also included.
This is probable one of the most expensive stylers, but users believe it works better than many of the other top brands. They wanted the same results they’ve gotten in a salon and the GHD provides this. It didn’t make a difference that the GHD doesn’t have variable temperature settings. People thought it still did a good job without that feature.
