Another feature is the hand free calling, using built in blue-tooth. It also comes with a free trial of msn direct, which allows checking gas prices, movie time and location while you are traveling to your destination.

Hands down this the Garmin c580 is one of the best GPS in it price range. With all these Great features and plenty more, plus the ease of portability makes this GPS a definite buy for you self or for somebody else.

There is no GPS on the market better then the c580 at this price with all these features and reliability you can’t pass on it.

What are the shortcomings of this product?

The only one fault of this GPS is you have to pay for the full MSN direct if you want full use of this feature. It only comes with a four month trial and you only get four options.

“New Si RF high sensitivity chip that locks satellite really fast, less than 20 seconds, and my old C320 takes over a min to lock the satellites on a cold start. And the new chip performs much better in downtown area.”

This is a very thick GPS. The direction is sometimes confusing. What makes things worse is that the auto charger broke down only after one month’s use.
